The ERC is capable of detecting certain failures within the control, temperature sensor and door latch.

NOTE:

Refer to the appropriate Service Manual for detailed service instructions

Door latched, failed latch switch, or open in wiring.. Ensure door is not latched, check latch

switch connections and ohm wiring.

If ok, replace latch switch.

LOCK

Sensor resistance too high or shorted wire lead...... Check sensor resistance and wiring.

F1 Failed component in ERC system............................ Check all components and wiring.

If ok, replace control.

F2 Sensor resistance too high ...................................... Check sensor resistance and wiring.

F3 Open sensor or sensor circuit .................................. Check sensor resistance and wiring.

F4 Shorted sensor or sensor circuit .............................. Check sensor resistance and wiring.

F5 Failed component in ERC system............................ Check all components and wiring.

If ok, replace control.

F6 Failed component in the ERC system or

fluctuation in 60Hz power source.............................

Check power source before replacing control.

F7 Shorted or sticking key(button) ................................ Check glass alignment, key (button)

movement.

F8 Failed component in ERC system............................ Check all components and wiring.

If ok, replace control.

F9 Door latch supervisory circuit problem..................... Check door switch(s).
